The "Coastal Adventurer's" first port of call was Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala. Half a dozen containers with miscellaneous freight were unloaded, with several tons of different formulas of chemical fertilizers and 200 drums of insecticides for different agricultural purposes.
In El Salvador, Eddy left the ship just as soon as he could, and hurried to the "Chalet" for a quick visit.
Margot was already aware of the ship in the harbor, and was anxiously waiting to see him.- He didn't take long, and with a big hug and holding hands, they sat at a table.
Eddy told her he wouldn't be able to stay this time, because they had little to unload, but he would see her on the way back.
Obviously disappointed, Margot tried to hide it with a smile. How long do you think you'll be able to stay? she asked.- Eddy, taking both of her hands in his, told her: "We just learned from the satellite, that we'll be loading lots of coffee and cotton. My guess is that it will take no less than three days to do it. We'll have plenty of time, don't you think?
Oh, good! I've been thinking, Eddy...do you think you would like to go see my farm? You know, the one I told you about?
Absolutely! I would love to go.
Great! Let's plan on that, on your return.- "It's a deal. Right now, I'll just have time to sit with you a while and have a few oysters and a cold beer."
Will you join me? You betcha! Sit, and I'll be right back with everything.
Oh! and Eddy..When we go to the farm, bring your swimming trunks with you. OK? No problem! I'll be sure to pack them.
Eddy told her about his visit with Jose and Marita in Los Angeles, and that he thought about her every day. I did too, Eddy. And I was wondering when and if you would come back.
I'm here, Margot. I told you I would ! Right now, I think we have time for one more beer, and then I'll have to go.- Don't want to make the Captain wait on me.-
Just have one more docking in Puerto Corinto in Nicaragua before Valparaiso; and before you know it, I'll be back.- Reluctantly, Eddy finally had to leave and get back to the ship. I'll see you soon, Margot. And he was on his way back to the "Adventurer".

In Corinto, Eddy didn't feel like spending the night in the ship, so he went to registered in a Motel where he had stayed before; owned by an American and his Nicaraguan wife. Close by was a Restaurant called "MELENDEZ" that served terrific steaks. Eddy was planing on one of them, but before, he decided to order a "Conchas" Cocktail - conchas being a type of clam that are found buried in the mud, on the shallow bottom of estuaries, among the mangrove, and characterized by its deep black color mollusk and juice. In a cocktail, is mixed with chopped onion, cilantro and other goodies; a bit of spices, and you have an unforgettable treat you'll be wanting to repeat. He was sitting at a table with a view of a Park across the street. Old, muzzle loading cannons were scattered among the cement benches. Eddy wondered if they were ever fired, some time during Nicaragua's history. By noon the next day, the unloading was finished and the "Adventurer was on is way to Valpara-
iso.
